Next.js 16 + React 19
Our primary stack for client sites and apps. App router, server components, streaming, server actions. Used on Eilean Scents and Kaimuse.
TypeScript
Typed end to end — components, API routes, server functions. Catches bugs before they reach the browser.
Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui
Utility-first styling with a component library that stays out of the way. Consistent design, fast iteration, no CSS bloat.
HTML / CSS / Vanilla JS
For static sites where a framework is overkill — like this one. Fast, cacheable, zero build step, zero maintenance.
Backend & Data
What runs behind the scenes.
PocketBase
Self-hosted backend — auth, database, file storage, real-time. Replaced Supabase on client projects. Runs on a single binary, no cloud vendor lock-in.
Node.js (Serverless)
Vercel serverless functions for form handling, email delivery and API endpoints. Used for the order form, contact form and chat widget on this site.
Stripe
Payment processing — checkout, subscriptions, webhooks. Integrated into Eilean Scents for live e-commerce.
SQLite
Embedded database via PocketBase. Handles products, orders, users and content without a separate database server.
Infrastructure & Tooling
How we deploy, host and maintain.
Vercel
Hosting, serverless functions, edge network, Web Analytics. Every client site and app is deployed here.
Git
Version control for every project. Branches, reviews and clean history before anything goes live.
Resend
Transactional email — form submissions, order enquiries, notifications. Reliable delivery, no spam folder surprises.
Vitest
Unit testing for app logic. Used on Kaimuse to keep the platform stable through feature additions.
3D Printing & Making
The other half of the business.
FDM Printing
Bambu Lab P1P — PLA, PETG, TPU. One-off prints, rapid prototypes and small business runs. Prints from customer STL/3MF files.
File Preparation & Slicing
Wall thickness, support generation, orientation, scale verification, layer inspection. We check every file before printing.
Post-Processing
Support removal, sanding, finishing. We deliver parts that look like finished products, not raw prints.
